1. Who we are
Rahii (working name) (“Rahii”, “we”) provides a peer discussion app for gig workers in India. Contact: privacy@rahii.app.
2. What we collect
Depending on what you allow: mobile number (sign-in); profile details you enter (pseudonym, city, gig types, platforms, language, avatar); posts, comments, media, and status you create; device permissions you grant (location for city suggestion, contacts for find-friends, mic/camera for compose); approximate signals such as whether certain gig apps appear installed; and basic app diagnostics if analytics is enabled later.
3. Why we collect it (purposes)
To create and secure your account; show relevant channels and feeds; enable voice/text posting and replies; keep the community safer (moderation, report/block/mute); let you find peers and send invite drafts; and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal basis / consent
For the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), we rely on your free, specific, informed consent for personal data we process, and on other lawful grounds where applicable (e.g. compliance with law, employment of security measures). You may withdraw consent from Settings → Privacy & consents. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done lawfully.
5. What we do not want you to share
Do not post customer phone numbers, full addresses/flat numbers, Aadhaar/PAN, or other people’s private data. Our tools may block or flag such content. You are responsible for what you upload.
6. Sharing
Content you post is visible to other Rahii users per channel rules. We may use processors (hosting, Google sign-in, analytics, moderation) under contracts. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect users from serious harm.
7. Retention
Account and content data are kept while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion or backup as needed for security and legal claims. Status updates expire in 24 hours.
8. Your rights
Subject to law, you may request access, correction, erasure, and withdrawal of consent. Use Settings or email privacy@rahii.app. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India when that mechanism applies.
9. Children
Rahii is for working adults. Do not use Rahii if you are under 18.
10. International transfers
If we use cloud providers outside India, we will apply appropriate safeguards and update this notice.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will prompt fresh acceptance (version bump). Effective date: 26 July 2026.
